WHAT I'VE LEARNED SO FAR

MODULE 7

Three takeaways from module 7:

In this module, I learned how important accessibility is for web pages. I know about other accessibility features that need to be addressed, but those are more for wheelchair or walker users, from my time working in a doctor's office that treats MS. I guess I hadn't thought about designing websites. Taking that into account, it should be at the forefront of everyone's thoughts when building sites.

I also learned how to start building a website. This will be instrumental in my ongoing schooling and throughout my future career. I am so excited to have that foundation.

The last takeaway I'm going to list is how vital planning is when it comes to building a website. You need a plan to make it successful. If you go in and just "wing it", it's going to be so much more difficult!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Throughout this semester, I have learned so much. At forty, with two kids and a full-time job, I wasn't sure I had it in me to go back to school and actually do well. This course gave me the confidence to know I can do it. I feel as though I gave it a lot of effort and time. The few assignments I didn't was because of health and family issues. The most important thing I got from this course (to me), however, was the confidence to continue on with my education.
